M m mmm. Hello, good evening and welcome to the Villa Park Podcast. It's me Rich and I'm joined by my faithful co host keV Mr Katie a VFC. Good to see you mate. I know we have had various issues this week with regards to internet time, just life really mate, and uh yeah, probably wasn't the best week to not get on not get on for a pod. Yeah mate, never mind, but you know we've let you know, I get on with it, let him get on with it, get to work with the players. Not We've not put too much because obviously we you know, our opinion is so sought after now that maybe maybe if we'd been saying about what we thought should have happened a bit earlier, it would have got the dressing room talking. So probably best we've left it, left it the last minute, I think, definitely. Definitely, Well yeah we will. We will recap the week that has been um and then we've got the small matter of Manchester United on the horizon tomorrow, a game that if if ever there was a game to get yourself in with the Villa fans um and ingratiate yourself with the support base, it would be to get a victory against Man United. It couldn't be the most perfect game to play because of all the teams that we've we've got, you know that we've come up against in the league. There's one that said who doever is? For years? I know we've got that way in um Courtney Hawes obviously last couple of minutes last season. I don't know. We've got the one about maybe twelve years ago and Gabby score didn't the air from a young young cross Ould traffled another one mill win in that that White Acorns kit. But really it's I mean, isn't it some sort of crazy stat about it's the longest unbeating away run in any I don't know whether it's Premier League or probably any league in the world basically, And I think it says a lot about Villa really because you know, Villara not a lot of that time I've not been a really bad team. We've been a bad team for a lot of it, but a lot of that time we have been quite a good team. And to not even get a win is just yes. So so to come in first game, could you just imagine game one and he's the guy that breaks that Man United whodo it would be brilliant, absolutely, and we will get into that. We've got a few stats to share with you as well in regards to UM. You know, the record that we have against Manchester United, the fact that we always seem to get him in cup competitions as well, it doesn't help. But yeah, we'll we'll dive into that later on. But yeah, first of all, Um, I think we were teased a little bit with regards to the start of the weekend. It was going to be the first to November was starting, and we were all expecting the tweets to come out and the pictures on the training ground and all that book it's been it's been quite a quite a build up in terms of the week and and and in the end it turned out that you know, he was doing he was kind of doing training sessions before, you know, before he actually it was officially unveiled to the press. I've put it. Emery is in the building. But what have you made of the kind of UM introduction that has had to Villa. I mean, from what I've seen, you know, not not a huge amount of it feels good. It feels good. I mean, I think I think the fact that he's spoke so fondly in his words about the fact that it's not just the Premier League, it's it's aston Villa and its opportunity to make history and to win a trophy and you know and all that kind of stuff. Is it's a restaurant that I'm sure that Mr Eden's and Mr Swis wanted to hear from their new manager. But um, he says it confidently. You know, not that a manager is going to say I've come from paid out Premier League, but a lot of people could say Premier League, massive opportunity, big club. You know, he's saying this is the right project for me, and considering he's a huge sort of the manager. I mean, he's only blemish is a blemish inverted commerce is a spell at Arsenal where he got into Europa League. Finally they defeat but got to Europa League Final, you know, their first European final since was it the two thousand five League final. Um and also gotten i think their best point falling years in the Premier League and brought through load the loads of the youth talent that's seen as a blip, you know, in three Europa leagues in a row with severe obviously winning it with l and then taking them, taking Nareal to the Champions League semifinals, beating some big teams on the way. He's pedigrees Brini, he's come to Villa, he's he's saying the white kind of things. And then the best thing for me is I'm seeing him in like little videos in training getting amongst it, you know, and I just think, you know what, like he's going to put his stamp on this, and if I can understand that extent, I'm...

...hoping we can start to see some of the things. You know, he was stopping play, you know. I'm sure at times Aaron Danks stops playing, you know, and does that kind of stuff. But it just it feels like he'll be a bit more of a hands on manager. I know he's got a good coaching stuff, but it feels to be a bit more hands on than probably Jerrard was. Maybe even Deeds it was maybe I mean, you know, we'll get into we'll get into my sort of tweet later on that, of course a wee bit of contrasty, but obviously there he is on the training ground and pointing fingers. I seem to remember Gerrard was in and amongst the players when he first turned up, and they you know, the Villa, the Villa media team, we're all over kind of getting those videos out and stuff like that. So look, that isn't that isn't exceptional in terms of what what coaches and managers do, um, and you know what they want, what they want to to put out there and stuff. You know, you want to you want to make your mark, you want to put your stamp on the team. You want to make an impression. And I think, you know, I think also he's probably it was a strange one because he's he was there, he was officially sort of at that first train in his session announced, but I don't think his back room team were there at the time. So it was kind of him and Austin McPhee, which was which was a little bit strange. Um. But yeah, I mean obviously, yeah, it was good to see him, you know, putting his ideas across two players. And we've got here with his arm around Leon Bailey. You know, maybe he's going to be that bit more hands on, that bit more kind of um you know, putting, giving giving real real pointers to two players and stuff as to how they can improve and what he wants them to do. Ultimately though, it's about on the pitch and it's about holding the players accountable to whatever he's told him to do, isn't it. Yeah? Absolutely absolutely, and that that is that is the th thing. And with with any kind of football team, you know, you can see players reacting like like we saw in the Brentford game. Seem players were seen after manager lead and then a week later I'm thinking, actually I feel sorry for Gerrard because the players didn't react. So the implementation of the ideas because you think it a lot, don't you know? You know, how can how can a person make such a difference to these people that they are going out? I can't imagine if you'm playing five aside football, I'm not going to play any better or any worse if someone has a word with me beforehand and manages the team. But at this level, the plan on the setup is everything. And and it's also I just think about that. We've said this many many times on this podcast and also you know stood together in the stands home and away for Villa, like we just need to be a bit braver, a bit more bravery, more confident ability. Um, I just I feel he's going to get the best out of the as good as anybody can get out of the players. I saw him. Obviously, there's been a lot of stuff we've talked about on the introduction pod to him that you know, whether it's a couple of players from Villa we're talking about him. But I saw him not where Edison, Edison Cavani, he worked with him a phg said Um said of him from the moment I arrived in Paris, he showed his passion for football. I really liked his way of working. It's the small details that determine these kind of games. They're won in the small aspects and for that you need to be very focused. He's a hard working coach and that's whys when titles trophies wherever he's worked, and that for me was a bit of stood out for me. It's the little details and those little details are that that's what makes the difference between I mean, there's a great quotas in the from if you haven't seen the film any given Sunday, Yeah, I've seen it many times. Yeah, I mean it's a great sports film, but the best bits of it's not even the sporting action it's the it's Alpatino and that quite about the edge. We've got the edge, and it's the edge that's the difference between living and dying, between losing and winning. It's really emotional speech. You haven't seen it, but I'll tell anybody to watch your Alpago speech and any given Sunday. But in these fine moments in the Premier League, when you lose a game you probably should have got a draw from, or you draw a game that you should have won. When you convert, you know less chances and you should take all these little things. It's all margins and need. You need to get the best I think out of your players by being meticulous and planned. Um so I'm feeling confident about what you've done so far. I get the whole thing. We'll talk about your tweet that you know, we've got a track record of you know, being shipped for years and it's all positive at first, you know, Stevie Bruce will get us out of the Championship. Were only what a manager that was dim even the Champions League with Chelsea, etcetera, etcetera. But it feels like this is a real pedigree coach and what I've seen so far on all ears. Really yeah, I mean let's let's obviously we'll go We'll go. Actually, we'll go through one or two comments because obviously people are people are joining, which is great. Thank you everyone for watching and tuning in. We've got Rachel in the house who says hi everyone, and shout out to Rachel as well, because she won our competition and if you haven't seen, we've put her picture out on our Twitter pages wearing proudly wearing the staff hooded jacket that she that she won. So yeah, congrat relations on that and joining us, and I...

...think she is um in. Oh no, Gary is in Gary as well. He's joining us from reky Vic. So that's fantastic as well. So thank you very much, Gary for for tuning in. I hope you having a great time. Some lots of comments about about us trying to beat Man United is a long time ago. It is definitely that was a three one victory. I seem to remember the first game of the season that season, Remember that game the birth of the you will never win anything with kids quote. That's it. I'm going to say, yeah, yeah, can I just come in for a set? Gary? Hi? Gary, he said, he's crossed two things off his book at list. I want to know what they are. It's it's after the Watershed Gary, so you know, feel free to go for it. But what there are two things you crossed off the book it list while you're in, we'd like to know. We'd like to know the comments place excellent, excellent, and we'll get ants put a good comment up that will well, we'll touch on later. I've just started that one, um, and Jack the lad is in Canada, so thank you for tuning inmate, good to have you on board. Aaron, Hi, how you doing? And Willie just subscribed and can't wait for tomorrow. Fantastic, Thank you very much. Mind man, So yeah, we're gonna get into plenty of comments later. But yeah, one of the comments, and you know we we obviously share that to share the tea the sort of podcast twitter page, so you know, not all. I can't attribute all the comments to you, keV. So when we're getting flat, it's generally me to be honest. But yeah, just a little read of what I said and then I'll explain it what I mean and then we can kind of talk a little bit about it. But yeah, um, press conference and everything actually press conference first, Um, you know it was unveiled. Was it Thursday? He was unveiled? Um? I think was it Friday? Yeah? So yeah, obviously, you know, what what did you first of all? Yeah, what did you make of the kind of press conference? I know you just sort of touched on the sort of comments that he made and stuff like that, But yeah, what did you make of that? Obviously being he had a couple of training sessions, then he was unveiled to the press on the Friday, then they went into the normal kind of United press conference. Was that something that you know was because very often they will unveil the manager and do all that sort of stuff before he just you know, before he does the training session wherever he came in and sort of settled in with the squad first. Was that was that a purpose thing with Villa? Or do you think it was kind of just the way it worked out. I don't know, really, I think, um, I think maybe the way it worked out, I think I think unless it was deliberately a bit more understated, it felt a bit more understated. You know, it wasn't you know, you know emories Aston Villa from you know, the second he warts in I think maybe there maybe they're thinking, you know, we've we've had a lot of bluster, we've said a lot of things, and start the rhetoric to be obviously be positive, positive and confident and optimistic. I think it's the key word, not rather than positive. You know, positive is sometimes you know in the positivity and optimism. What a difference there is there. Positivities when you know, when you can see it's all shit. Optimism is believing it will be better. And I think that that's where that's where we need to be. Um. So it was just a bit maybe but underwhelming, but understated, but maybe also what we needed. Yeah, I agree, I agree, and I do think I do think it was kind of quite good that he was he was in doing training sessions. First, that kind of stuff was leaked to the villa um sort of social media and villa fans would have checked in on that. Not many sort of fans outside the villa would have checked in on that. And then you know, obviously the news, the news conference and then the match press conference. I think was probably quite a good way of doing it. Um. Yeah, I guess what can what still what what gets me? And I understand why they do it, I unders and why they get kind of fed those questions. But the talk of trophies, the talk of Europe, the talk of you know, Villa being a massive club, the project, all this sort of stuff. I guess that's what drove me to kind of send this tweet. You know, I thought it was very impressive. But we we've been down this road so many times as Villa fans, and I guess football fans have been down this road so many times. Like I'm just sick of hearing it. I'm sick of hearing how we should be in Europe or the dream of the coaches for us to be in Europe. And and like I said, there's a nagging feeling inside of me that we'll be here in a year's time and the Emery experiment wouldn't have worked. I hope it does. Like this is not me, like a lot of people said, you know, I'm being really negative. And he hasn't even had a game yet and all this sort of stuff. It's not to do with him as a manager or him as a coach. It's to do with us as supporters and not giving managers time, and it's to do with the level of ability...

...of the players and placing this kind of headstall of Villa being this club that should be in Europe, and it winds me off. I think I do get what you're coming from. Any of the reality is from an optics perspective, and it looks negative, but you know, ultimately, you know, um, it's a talking point. We've never been when was the last time we were in Europe. We've never been anywhere near Europe in the last fifteen years, twenty years, Like, why are we even talking about it. We've been closer to being in the bottom of the Championship than we have to being in the Europa League. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean it's um, other than a preseason tour to stad Renee, you know, that's what we get excited about. Look, it was negative, but again I understand with context of the point you're making, because I do think we've said many many times before about Smith, about Gerard's, about you know, everybody that's managers recently, is that there's more decision making that goes on at modern football club these days, whether that's with Susso, whether that's with Yo and Langer, or that's a Christian pursler than the pick picking of Gerard as the manager and obviously interesting that person has been nowhere near this unveiling the lang has been nowhere near it, and he's still he's still said like it's the biggest appointment or the most important appointment in Aston Villa's history or something some or a rubbish I mean he said that last time with Gerald. I'd like, I'm sick of it. Honestly, I just want to see I just want to see them do it on the pitch. I'm not interested in conversation and I'm not interested in the fluff and bluster about Villa being this massive club, Villa being this Villa being that. I'm not interested because Bright and are better than us, Brent for the better than us, Crystal Palace are better than us. Like we can't keep talking about we won the European Cup forty years ago. It is just we need to just win football matches. I think the thing is is that like if you're not giving good stuff on the pitch, that there's no silaces that went you know, Forest for languishing the low riches of the championship to be talking about you know, the mighty European Cup winning Forest And I'm sure, there was probably a slight sense of embarrassment. You know, we went to forest Away. You know, as you're walking up to the ground, you can see obviously quite a famous city. You've got the Kno Skaty ground, You've got the cricket ground you're walking up through, You've got the Cloffy Cloffey cob shop. You know, it's it's all historic. And then they may be playing I don't know, you know, you Ovil or something in the league, probably at some point in the last ten years. So you could look like a bit of a dick, can't you if you keep talking about his good stuff. You know, could have, should have, would have. It's it's the equivalent of the guy in the pub saying, oh I would have made it a pro but you know, oh yeah, I met a girl and I didn't the Achines and it wasn't for my achilles many times. But I was sort of somewhat disagree with in some sense. I mean, by way, anyone that wants to know me and Rich generally wonder twitter acount together. If it's a black film or a black fist, it's generally me, no Genery Rich, And if it's not, it's generally me there bit a little clue for you sometimes, although sometimes you set me stuff to post and I haven't changed it, so therefore, you know. But the time, yeah, I just generally think we've got to be on the front foot and I got in our narrative. But we've got to make sure that we're back. If we write these checks with our mayor there's a club, we've got to make sure we cash them properly, you know, because you know, and that for me is in the last few years they have back people. You know, Jerald got back with the Catino with a Deana with the Chambers and it didn't work out. You know, Dean Smith got backed with the Greenish money and who's to say how much Dean Smith wanted when de Bailey anings, we don't know whether that is Maybe we'll never know and for years until someone does an interview, right, but the club backed us. They've got a back this manager with what he wants. Absolutely, But I think you have to look at you have to extol the virtues that you've got. You have one in European admittedly it was a few years ago, and we have one with the top five six teams up in terms of trophies one, but we've now got to give the fans something to really be proud of that And there was a good comment I saw actually just to calls back one second, pop it up from right, where is it about about Newcastle? Nest yeah too and said it. I've yeah, I'd had it, I'd had it. There we are out. Yeah, yeah, sorry, if if, if Newcast, if Newcastle can and do it, why can't we? Basically, yeah, what is the difference? We want you? I was just about to say that to you, mate. I was saying, you know that the kind of glimmer of hope that kind of clubs have like us, you know, we can cling to is the fact that you know, Newcastle within the space of less than a year of you know, kind of competing for the Champions League. And it is an indication that you can when you've got a big supporter base, when you've...

...got you know, that kind of big club sort of um, you know, in proud history, whatever you want to call it, you can. You can. You can get em real momentum going, you know, less than one a league off the back of it, off the back of the momentum shift, you know, so you cling to those moments. I guess the only thing is is that that you know that people remember those moments because they're so rare, and that's that's the that's the difficulty it is. But I always think life BacT taking taking opportunities, isn't it taking chances? And yeah, it sounds like you're in a hardy house there, mate, what's going on? I just need some oil on that door one goes. No one comes into the kitchen like extension bit until I do this, and then the just in and out constantly. I thought were just a few days, a few days out of Halloween, and I thought you were doing like a bit a bit creepy podcast, creepy cast. No, I think, Look, it is difficult because I was going to point to the last example of myself and you can even thinking to have the cup runs, you know, a grease the euroted as in for by the way, I was in Greece, working in Greece and Greece when the Euros and people firing guns next to right, But the euphoria of that run that they went on, that when Wiggin went on the run and on the f A Cup, you know, denmarking. It was such a bigger thing for a Lester to do it across the whole league season. Still the greatest sport, team, sport and achievement ever in my opinion. Um wow, but why can't you? And I always think it's if someone's going to do it, why can't it be us? You know, if you think about anybody in any job that they're in, someone's gonna be the hardest working, someone's gonna be the laziest, and everyone else is going to be in between. Someone's gonna be the most positive, someone's gonna be the most negative, and everyone else is gonna be in between. And if you think about football teams now the Premier League, I think he's as poor as he's been in a long time. This season. Well, there's so many teams beating other teams. There's so many teams that can't get away from you know, the rest of the pack. You know, you've seen Everton put a couple of results together, then they get beat by Lester. Lester had a terrible start. Now they're starting to pick up leads of kind of picked up a couple of decent results after looking like they were dead and buried today. So many teams, you know, Brentford have started starting seeing really well now starting to look quite poor. You know, there's so many teams, like you're saying, mate, that are there are much of a muchness that if you can get on on a on a bit of a ruin, if you can get a bit of momentum behind you, you can start to push up that table. And I guess, I guess you know, whether regardless of where we finished this season, it's more about it's more about kind of getting that momentum, you know, like there's so much there's so much about about Gerard's reign that hin hinged on the fact that we ended the season as a real damp squib last season. If he'd have ended the season with two or three wins out of the last four games, Villa fans would have been a lot more sort of positive for that upcoming season. But because it finished as like, you know, a drawer against burn the draw against Crystal Palace, you know, games where we were like, right, come on, let's let's finish with a bit of momentum here, then it kind of it kind of made it. I don't know, it just it just really soured the taste for the new season, didn't it. So if if emery can really sort of you know, because seasons, you know, massive cliches, but there, you know, there's so long that if you you can, you can start a season really badly and end the season really well, right, and then you feel and really positive for the next season. Where you could start the season really well and then the season really badly, but you could finish on the same points. But the way the perception looks at it, it's like, oh that seams that teams had a much better season because they ended the season really well. Moment just about that really momentum with everything. You know, we've been on the back end of a couple of four for draws in the last twenty five years, and I remember both Spurs and Lester, like you know, we were probably four four one with ten minutes to go. It Spurs under Aneil when he had made a silly challenge. Lester was probably like mid to late nine is probably happened, and once the second goals goes in for them, it's four to six minutes left. Your thinking and on a minute and that is everything in football. Isn't it. It's it's been you know, two sets down in tennis, two breaks down, all of a sudden, you get a breakpoint. If I get this, I might get one back. And that is why particularly I think in football in Premier League terms as well, the momentum that Lester got when they won that league was based on the fact that they won seven out of the last nine games that the season before. They then went on to feel amazing and they wouldn't league oviously. The year after, we under Gerard and under Smith finished that season badly, and that was that was that was really really problematic for us because we went into the next season and you know, it wasn't it just wasn't wasn't going to be a good start. Um. If you look, if you look at the situation that we're in now with Emory, I just hope the one thing we didn't see under Jerrard, the one thing he stops seeing this myth at the end,...

...we're seeing good signs, positive signs. I do think Villa fansill get a bit of a bit of a rough right for this. I honestly think if Villa fans see this is the right kind of thing going on, they'll probably give away a few results if it feels good, and I do then think if that happened, the manager would get given more time if if the confidence is there, and I think Emery needs if he's if he's the guy who the pedigh, he needs, he needs his three or four years. He needs an opportunity to work and to build it and and to get us to to where we need to get to. But they've got to and this is the key bit, so one of good having good talk, they've got to back him on an even keel so we can compete with whether you know, you know West Hand buying Schamaca or Newcastle buying Issac whoever, you know, the big months we're going around, we've got to be able to compete with them at that level within FFP and the fans have got to be on side, and we've got to make sure that we as a club play on the front foot our field. And if if we do all of that, I do feel the coach of his pedigree, I feel it's impossible to not progress to what end, to what level of success or whatever that may be. But I think Villa fans have been starved for so long of a little bit of consistent just you know, going upwards a little bit, just a little bit, just a little bit, you know, starting to fit the top ten regularly. Really so difficult, it is so so difficult. People don't realize, like you said, the quality maybe of the middle teams isn't that great. But that's that's the indication of how tough it is. Every every team at that level has got a star player. Every team at that level can beat a team. Every team at that level complain pay similar wages, you know, rather than you know, the man Cities or whatever blowing other teams out of the water. It's so so difficult. It's so difficult, it is. And but I don't think you know, when we talk about when I say, theres a lot of poor teams. And therefore my point is if you're ever going to kick on and push on and a Newcastle kind of got a little bit ahead of in the race, But I don't think they're so far ahead of us with their squad that we couldn't you know, it could certainly be a bit where they are. It's more the fact that it's a mentality thing with new well that that game last week was a complete mirror of what we're like as a club and what they're like as a club. And it was fairly even at halftime. They got a penalty and then they got the next goal, and then we just absolutely crumbled. And that is just an indication of how we've been for the last three or four years in the Premier League. Weak mentally, weak physically, and you know, I do, I really hope Emery can turn it around, but it's going to take a lot of time. You can't just you can't just make flicker switch and say, all of a sudden, the players are mentally strong, all of a sudden, we've actually got a midfield. Now. It's got to be the right signings, the right players. And then mixed with winning games from situations that we haven't won games before. Well, we hardly ever win from going one nail down, kneel down. We hardly ever win from you know, a team we go one nil up and then the team comes back, and then we go and win it again. We don't, you know, we hardly ever do any of those situations. None of our players have got any situation that they can turn back to and say, what, we've won a game from this situation before, we've done this before, he's basically working from scratch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely is that they've they've got to back him. And we've known, we've been We've said it many times. You know, there's been a week under belly of the club. Um, so we've got a back in. We've got back him also with decision making, because I know, like we don't want to throw the baby out in the bath war, but I think a lot of that squad needs to be jettisoned. I think a lot that's what it is proven it's not good enough. Not saying there's not coachable, you know, things that they can do to get the best out of some players in there and to convert people that maybe weren't performing into previous managers. We might maybe we might see a few surprise names can go back into the fold and a few signs making a difference hopefully in the next two windows. But I also think probably some big names they need to be moved out and that there's gonna be a bit of bravery around that. So um, look, you know the other thing as well, which I think with Emory is is he talked about, you know, wanted to show our identity and what we're going to do. And look, I will I will say one thing and I'll pop a comment cheers, damned, damned if you do. I'm not expecting as we play on the front for all the time, half expecting some contable at the time. It seems to be how basically what Emery does. So um yeah, I mean I did actually say actually be on the front foot. Sorry, let me rephrase. What I mean is I know Emory teams are quite care attacking, so that that you know, there'll be a bit more kind of progressive of possession, playing around the back, a bit a bit more sturdy. But I do remember, particularly the Arsenal, they were very good on the counter, you know, and that is yeah, I know we're not going to be like a Dean Smith Championship start style manager, but I just think at least when you are attacking, at the times you are attacking, make it potent, make it exciting, get players bombing on, get more players in the box. I mean amount of times Vida counter attack in the last couple of years and it's like Watkins on his own chasing and last ball,...

...and you know, you know it just I just if you're going to attack, attack properly, You're going to defend, defend properly, and keep that midfield solid. Absolutely, Let's go for a couple of comments, and before we get into kind of the Newcastle Earth Newcastle, I've got them on the brain that the Man United game tomorrow. So Aaron, thanks for tuning in, said I feel the same, Rich. I'm sick of all the talk. Time to show on the pitch. If Emery can't bring a success, I worry Barry is joining us, said Persa did look awkward yesterday after all. This Stevig brovideo a year ago to one makes a point here. I think we need a director of football. Person is making too many football decisions and he's not qualified stick to the commercial stuff. This is the only thing I want the owners to do. Now. It's good point, mate, it's a good point. I've talked about pers like before that I think he gets a little bit of a rough ride because he's done a lot of stuff commercially really well for us, in terms of the whole Grand redevelopment and everything. Um, but he put his his name to Gerard, you know, and that that Gerard name he put he put he put two didn't work out at all. Now we can all make a bad decision in work. But you know, some of the talk around Gerard was massive, wasn't it. It was massive? So you know, I think adrected football would be a good check. Definitely. Um well said Gary said, Well said Rich. We're living in the past and this for me is the start of something special. Let's hope. So let's hope something. He also has total faith in these players when properly coached. Um fingers crossed um Tian said. The thing is if these boys think that they cannot perform and get the coach sacked, there another thing coming. And Mary is here to stay. It's not it's them, not him that are going to get sacked. I hope you're right. I just think, you know, it's it's far easier to get rid of managers and it is to get rid of players. Because players are playing badly. You can't get you can't know, no one wants to buy them. Yeah, and you're you've also, like so many times, it is a mutue a thing because no, I don't care right how bad Gerrard was. You know that some of the performances were just not good enough, and he wouldn't have certainly wouldn't helped it. I said, what says a lot, right you when you gotta look at him that Newcastle game on the back of the four nail win against Brentford to capitulate like that, But the performances some of those players, mean Garreff sav guy was in the crowd. I mean, Watkins clear doesn't fancy going to the Middle East in a few weeks because I mean, look, we can all have a bad game. I get it, and not everyone's always brilliant football. But sometimes I do think to myself, like, what are you doing some of these players? And maybe the time is just you know, it's just time to move a few of them on. I'm feeling positive about the future, I really am, but I'm also not convinced about probably eight seventeen to eighteen members of our squad, and that might be might be pretty scathing and pretty bad, but I'm just saying it as I see. I just just am, you know, I honestly don't think there's I think we need Mings at the moment because I think he's you know, with Carlos injured, he's are best and half. I hate that bothered, really if we if we didn't have Concert Chambers or Bednarek. I'm not a bother about any of our fallbacks, genuinely, I'm not. Kessel Hayden thinks got potential, but he can't get in the field team in the Botment Championship. But I don't really think Dean yet so far. Cash Apps head to me, oh my god, they are irreplaceable in the midfield. J J has got real potential, is young player McGain. I think bother Louise ain't bothered Cotino. I think maybe his best days behind him. Wen Deer started to deceive Bailey same and upfront his ings pasted it. We can revitalize him Watkins, I think time has done. Honestly, my perspective on the team is who do I think we need to keep in that squad? Timmy Ry Boonham definitely doesn't play first at the moment. Cameron Archer definitely Ming's a comple of them saying it. Martinez, Yeah, you're probably saying deeing it because I still, you know, still in the East, winis pedigree. You're probably saying Ramsey the rest of them. Honestly, Ashley Young, I'm can actually young seventh right than he to thirty seven, So you know, and I know you're not gonna And I know Louis has got loads potential, and Bailey might come come good and things has still got you know, a few goals. Anythink we'll we'll hope. I think I think too, And made made the point or Gary, you know, the coach properly. Maybe we'll see these players coming through. But you know, at the same time, you've got to he's a professional, elite professional footballers, like at some point I have to take some responsibility for themselves. So you know, Gasa says, there, listen, it's gonna be a couple of years before we see the planet plan coming together. I just hope us as Villa fans give that time because we haven't got a great track record. If we see moving forward, mate, we will and I hope so, I hope so. And by the way, I forgot about Kamara and Carlos because I've been injured. Absolutely, Kamara and Carlos were definitely on the Yeah. Well, like I say, the jury is out, not not on Emory in terms of his pedigree. It's more on the players and the fans for me, because we were we can be the most fickle fans going.

And yeah, you know, it doesn't take many bad games or a run of three or four defeats for the for the sword of Damocles to be looming over Emory's head. So we will waiting and see. Also before were the man unit a game just quickly, I'd say it's also amazing what a couple of signings can do. And you know, look at what Bruno Gamarsh is done for Newcastle. You know, other than Bruno Gamarsh, they've got Isaka has been a record signing, but he's been injured most of the time. Dan Burn, Matty Target, Chris Would Kieran Trip has been brought in as well. Trip here and and Kamarash have revitalized that team. You get a more on playing like you know, prime messy. But it's it's those two signings really that have taken them to the next level. If we and maybe we've been a lucky with Carlos and Kamara, maybe they would have been that for us. Who knows. But if we can if we can get a really good attack in this big links to wingers, isn't there for January, we can get an exciting forward player in a good midfield player in maybe gets his own center half and you can start to see pointing Stanmp on the team. Yeah. Well, Willy asked the question here do we come January. Do you think Emory will go for players about thirty with experience or go for younger players. It's a good question that I I don't know too much about his track record playing players are you know, who are further advanced? Here shall we say? Um? So? I'm not sure. I do think. I do think. I think the squad we've got has got a good mix now of I say good Nix are good in the sense of, you know, it's a blend, not good as an It works of older players, you know, in terms of udine Us, Catinos, Martinez Is and younger players. So I do think we probably need some some prime players, players are in their prime early to Probably it probably depends on the fitness of Carlos and Kamara, Like if they come back in. You've obviously got players like one young player, one older player with a real pedigree, so might give them a little bit more freedom to maybe make a couple of signings of players either in their prime or or sort of younger younger players that he wants to coach and develop. So yeah, I was gonna say it's a question just quickly. Do you think that the way we were preseason and the way we were at the start of this season was the reason why they didn't back Gerrard too to maybe make some bigger sign because I was saying quite a bit, I'm surprised we haven't made a show stopper sign. Um. I really thought we would. Think it was because they thought maybe he's not our guy. I will say how it goes, Nah, I don't. I think probably some of the targets that they went for didn't materialize. I think him and maybe uh yeah, you possibly didn't see eye to eye fully on all the all the signings, um, And yeah, I think I think they you saw, you've seen a shift in kind of strategy over the last two or three years. And it's a weird one because obviously we signed like the like Sardinia Contino in the January, who were, like you say, players that were ready made, more experienced, and then it was a bit of a mishmashing in the in the summer one. And I just I don't know, I just I think the way that they had it in their head for the plan for the summer transfer just didn't work. They thought, we'll get these two players in or the three players over the line, the main ones continue over the line, we'll get Carlas and we'll get Kamara. Fantastic, we were, we were waxing lyrical about it was like amazing. Then it was like, right now we'll get rid of the players that we don't want and we'll go after We'll have two or three weeks to get players in that we do want. Nobody wanted our players. That was It was so in their head it was like, oh, this is going to work out perfectly. And then as it didn't happen, as these players wouldn't go, you know, whether it was their agent wanted more money or they did the clubs that they were after them didn't didn't weren't good enough for them or what. I don't know, but they just couldn't shift the players. So then you'd end up with too many players on your books, and then you've got to go back to those players, as Gerard, you've got to go back to those players because you've then got to use them for that for the preseason matches, or you've then got to say I, actually I might need you in the squad for the for the first match of the season, and they're like, well, you didn't want me two weeks ago, why are you coming coming back to me. I just think all of those things in their head were like he was like Southgate with like the you know, the Euro finally had everybody, had every move in his head planned, except the fact that he had an opposition that were that was working against him. You know, you can the best blade plans are always brilliant in your head, but they're just never, never always materialized, and I think that's what that's what killed Villa in preseason. There were certainly certainly some strange decisions, wasn't that. I mean, I think when we started, remember the part we did when we signed basically all three of them before the before the trunks winner had even opened, We're pretty much announced. Carlos from Sea obviously Um, obviously Kamara was a bit a big coup, and then obviously Contine on the perm...

...and it was very much the I think cover equivalent of seeing like a Christmas tree full of presents. You opened three and it's like, oh my god, this is amazing. I got you know, I got the PS five, I got a new watch, I got a new pair of trainers, and then the rest of the boxes are empty. But you know there's a couple of banana in one and an orangine another. That's it, you know, because the expectation was like, Wow, this is gonna be an amazing window. Our party was so positive about it. But then hard decisions. You've gonna got to look at the star deal. You know, and I've said this many times, cannot be you know, imagine rich listen, fancy the bacon signes make you know, go to shop and get some bread, all right, love, no worries. I got the shop and get some bread. You got the shop and you were only going to buy medium hovis that's it And there's no bread there. I ain't sucking buying it. Sorry, and you get home like the only option we had was so apparently that was it. That was in all of the transfer market with aster that as might in power and money and an attraction to get the likes of a Gerrard and Emory come to us in the first place, and a continia when an etcetera. We had one option, madness, and then you let all your other wingers go and then you're forced with if Bailey is injured, you've got no no white players, so you're playing two tens in when Deer and Continia why they don't work And it's just like, why didn't we not see this coming? Well, you know the point around around the midfield. For years, we've not had anywhere near enough strengthen at midfield. So they went into this season knowing how bad the back end of the last season was. They didn't change it in the window, they didn't change it the start start they've changed it with dead Dunker finally, but is here the answer and that that is clearly for me, whether it's Gerard Langer, Perslow, whoever it is, they don't spot that that team needs midfield steel for years. There's a problem somewhere. And to have made the point about the director of football, you know, and there these are people who will look at the trends and look at kind of you know, a few the future and what what is football going to look like in five years time, ten years time, what the prototype of players that are going to be developing? Then how is the Premier League gonna like line up or top level football going to line up because you know the kind of it's come back to kind of midnight is you know when you had the Petise and the Vieiras and and all that, and you know the big, the big physical athletic players in midfield of the of the midnights. He's gone back to that now. So you know, in five years time it might go back to the kind of smaller players, Barcelona type players that that were that were kind of flourished after that period. You know, this is what a director of football will do that we have to scout players and look at the trends of what type of players are coming through. At the moment, it's all about one striker up top on his own who kind of covers three or four different jobs on the pitch. It might go back to the standard four four two. Who knows, might go back to the big man little man up front. We don't know that. So that's what I think we need to get better at, and we need to get better at kind predicting and and and hopefully Emory brings that star, brings that identity and we start to sign players that fit how we want to play and what we want to do rather than just signing players for the sake of it and trying to fit them in however where we can, because all the fans be looking at looking for phrases. Haven't hand gone? How do you get in? How do you get Bailey? How do you get you know, Gwen dear? How are they getting in this team? Now? You know? Then when it was a different oil player that they're supposed to be replacing, playing McGinn, Ramsey Louise in the midfield, because maybe there are better players, but he's at the best combinations that what you need and sometimes you need to just be effective. Look at don't look at dan Burn? Yeah? Sorry, Can I just say I just had to try and let the dog out and I feelized. I was like, was it most hoarded or through the keyhole of walking around? Yeah, no worries, You're welcome everybody. It's a bit like peep Show where you had the camera follow anyway. It's like, just don't focus on your face. I'm a big fan of people show, so I should have a bit because good, I've got a great day in here results wrying to annoy me. So there he is. I think the size of this dog I have to deal with he's in my face. He wants to get in the pod, So yeah, let's let's get into it anyway. Let's you know, we touched on all of the players that we've got and all the players that aren't necessarily playing at the moment, and we've they've all got a clean slate essentially, haven't they, because going into going into the game tomorrow, one or two of them might be thinking, well, I might get a game here. One of the real positives from the training session, sorry Matt, was we saw a certain Boba Ka kamara um training across the week, maybe not ready for tomorrow, possibly looking like he might be ready for Thursday. But is that a little tease effort for possible possible comeback, you know maybe. I mean he's trained all week, which is great. I didn't put me in my team. I did nearly spring a couple of surprises. But we'll get your team in a second. And we've got loads of people sort of commenting on what I think,...

So yeah, I get you get your thoughts in and what you think the team will be, and will read them out. But yeah, yeah, yeah, it's Kamara a shower or probably it's positive to see him coming in. It's amazing when a new manager comes in all of a sudden, you know, players coming back on the training peace they all want to impress. Now that is Have you seen that tweet going round of like I think it's sant Southerndan you when they hit EMORYA Emory's turned up and it's that and the clippies and when you know ty some field with like spark out and it just gets up out of nowhere off the floor. It's really funny. It's really funny, really funny. Um. Yeah, no, no, I think he's probably too soon for him. He's probably too soon for him. Um. And one of the players kind of you know, apparently he's rated very highly by you know, mary Is Morgan Samson and I know you talked talked a little bit about him before we came on the show. Um, but yeah, I bet he's I bet he's pretty buzzing about training again. And I bet his first first to arrive, last to leave again. Now, I bet it was a bet it was whistling dancing in the moonlight, wasn't he on the drive in? You know? Or girls allowed in the car like or shufft like you know, it's a game changer for him. I mean to the managers didn't fancy him. I don't know why, but every time I see glimpses as sun Sign as a player, I think he's got something. And again I do not understand how he wasn't getting any game time when I when we were playing as bad as we were playing for such existent amount of time, I I haven't put me in my team, and what I did initially put me my team. But I just thought he's not played for so long that maybe you know they'll be you know, you know, you'll put picking up the team. But there's definitely hope for a sance on, you know. And clearly would have seen him as well. I think he commented in the you know, in terms of being a wins PHGD would he would have seen him. Um, you don't get to the level of pedigree he got on he came. He was a real coup when we signed him because supposedly he was tity million. We going for half prize pretty much of the January deal. And I don't think he's ever ever not played well when he's played for US. Yeah, he made a mistake for the Bruno's going to Man United played really well that game. I think he played the next game. Yeah, I mean, like I said, he's not, he's not. If two managers haven't fancied him and Smith I would ever imagine would have given him a chance, you know, had he you know, he was always very fair and stuff like that. We've we've given people playing a chance and stuff. So you've got a lot of work to do for me, and the comments from from from everyone else kind of back that off. But we will see, we will see. You know, everyone say everyone's got a clean slate. I'm too man united though, what what have you made of what have you made of them under under Eric ten Hard Because this time last season or across last season, it was kind of you know, chaos, you know, didn't scandal. And there has been one or two little bits obviously with Ronaldo kind of throwing his toys out. But for me, he's handled he's sort of handled everything really well. A man united, I don't think you can really argue with the job that he's done based on how low they were, particularly when you consider I've got dug in my face again. Um, just to answer the guy who said he's each Michael, I know his name is buddy by the way, he buddy the Dane. But it's just it's like having an overgrown child that doesn't listen to me. I was I did start that comment because yeah, obviously one great Dane to another. Yes, no, I don't think look look at look at that performance of that there against Brentford. I mean it was literally was it was. It was crazy how bad they were. And give a manage a bit of time he started. He's made some tough decisions do, isn't it. He's not easy as well because obviously very very highly rated player, obviously in terms of Mason Greenwood and all the horrible, horrible allegations against him. You know what a scumbag allegedly seems to be. You know, that won't help. You've got Ronaldo, he's throwing his toys at the primary two minutes. You've got you know, Eric is probably getting used the pace of the Premier League. And yeah, I mean I don't think there is. They're they're amazing. I don't think there's certainly, you know, for us, I think they're absolutely beatable. But that's the thing we may united for us always, the who do have had over us for a long time. They have not been a brilliant team. They're spwash buckling team back in the day when you know when Vannis the Royal getting back in the game, or you know when I will to get back in the team. They're not not that anymore. So I look at it and I think to myself, like, you know, where where are we out in terms of our ability as a team. We should be able to beat teams like this. But I think I think he's done a decent job, but I'm still not wow about him. Yeah, no, No, it's I guess it's the fact that not everyone's No, they don't seem to be in the headlines as much for the wrong reasons, and that's probably the best thing we can say about them. They're kind of just just picking up points, just moving on up the table. And I think Gary has made it, made a comment there. Rash is looking looking good again and you know he's he's sort of getting making...

...a late run for the England's quite a game. Um. One player we won't be playing though, and it's a great news for us because he won't get a penalty is a Bruno Fernandez. Everyone's favorite Premier League footballer. Bruno Fernandez a What a guy? What a guy? I cannot say I am remotely upset about that. I mean the amount like to two or three penalty easy one against us for terrible decisions. So yeah, let him, Let him sit in the stands and watch our first winning twenty nine years that I was against him. Yeah, yeah, And obviously I kind of I did a little bit of a I'll do a bit of an article every so often, called up to debate with the BBC and the and they gave me the question of McGuire or mings Um. And obviously McGuire has been out a form and injured and stuff, and I kind of just about plumt for Tyren mings Um. But I think Rachel's made the comment that you know, they have they have looked a bit more solid defensively, you know, incidentally without without McGuire, but they can be got at. And you know, players like Luke Shaw one or two others. You know, how do you fancy kind of the likes of Bailey or when Deer or Watkins or whoever against against their back line. I think we can hurt them. Bailey, you knows, Bailey is like a week a week away on all of the in England in March, like you don't know what you're gonna get, You don't know what you're gonna get. Yeah, yeah he could get bright sunshine or yeah it could be just no. I mean, I mean you can't at no point with Bailey like Bailey's like tossing a coin like so um honestly I'd like to be more confident about him, but I've just been sell underwhelmed. Um. I do think that that team is absolutely gettable. That absolutely by the way, the Mings Mings McGuire would have, you know, much grief Mings against Mings McGuire, it's a clear win for me for Mings because I think McGuire has been poor for for ages. I know the argument is he's not going that level. Let England Dame, which but well maybe it's as actually to be fair, but um yeah, I just I look at and look at that team and think, oh my god, you know what what a what a side we're going to really really struggle to to break through. I think has been in decent form, but I think he's had you know, he's been a bit here and there at times, you know, McGuire, Martin as we haven't got a big striker, and we haven't got a gaen In Davis or Tammy Abrahams. So that will probably play in Martin his hands because he's good in the ball. Sure's decent, Dallos decent, but they're not They're not top level fallbacks, are they They're not you know, they're not patrese Eva and you know, going ever where ever back in the day, you know, Casimiro ericson decent, but Cassamaro has got a good pedigree, but Langa Rushford has been better this season. But I don't know. I don't look at that team and think, Wow, who's the superstar in that team? The superstar? And they're they're stats. Their stats kind of back up exactly what you're saying, Kevin, because they are kind of solid, you know, one seven tilve games one seven, drawn to last three goal score seventeen goals against sixteen and then points three, So a solid, solid side, like no real standout star. And I think obviously he's taken he's taken Ronaldo out the team maybe as a maybe as a purpose, purposeful thing that he doesn't want that player kind of dominating all of the headlines. Maybe the same with McGuire and just to get that team element back because those stats would suggest that they don't score that many goals, but they don't. They don't concede that many. But but as as Rachel said, they can be got at. Yeah, and it's only literally two and a half months since a team with exactly the same back five, Eric's in midfield and Fernandez, Rushford and Ronaldo. So basically you know eight of that team will falling now down at halftime against Brentford. Anyone, anyone can have about half, of course they can. But um, well, I think an up for a villa, you know, a buoyant villa party with a new manager, with an exciting team line up, line up with a bit of front you know, front foot energy play when we're attacking. This is this could be a great moment. I mean if he beats them, then every other game we play against anybody will be well beat Man United in his first game. So it was just whatever you can do, sneak and extra player on the picture. You can just do whatever you can do. Yeah. Yeah, well let's get onto your lineup and then we'll go through other people's kind of well people's comments on your lineup and what they think. But yeah, you've gone for Um. Let me just get rid of the banner so everyone can see you've gone for Martinez in goal, Ming's and bed Nerak at center back, actually young right back, Luca Deane at left back. Um, then dunka Louise. Have you done that again with Chambers? Oh, Cantina, that is sorry, I made a mistake. That is the great day in my face when I did it. Chambers playing the ten role definitely Continio okay,...

...so so quite a few changes to them. We'd have Continia in there, so ignore that everyone. Leon Bailey on the right hand side, Ramsey on the left hand side. I'd imagine they might swap at certain points, and Danny Ing's up front. So basically we've got no in and we've got no Watkins, we've got no BRender, got no cash and we've got no Concer. Yeah, it's wholesale changes, and I was I nearly had sends something there resolve. Um. I think he'll he generally plays the two, doesn't in front of the strikers, in front the defenders. So I figured that that's the best option you've got other double pivot, and that I didn't know what to do. This is a problem with it that the team doesn't pick itself. I thought you might want the energy of Ramsey. Where am I going to stick him in the team. It's Continia or Brendia for me, and maybe you know Continio he can't. We can't be done just yet. And I think Cash, I think I think the problem, the problem for the fallbacks has been that that young has been the best out of all of them. So then it's a tossup between her of Denia and Denia and Cash and I just plumped for Dan and put him on the other side of the centers. Was I've just felt that that they've been very underwell. I think I think has been really great. Didn't have a game good game at all last week. Yeah, I I totally take your gass Airport console and Watkins will play. In his opinion, Rachel says, you can see Chambers come into into defense, and Chambers did whether the Marriet Arsenal, it's very difficult for a new manager within the first week to come in and and just either a mate loads that make loads of changes or be keep the same side that got absolutely spank for nil. So yeah, it's you could you could literally pick you could you could try and pick it. And there's a case for anyone to play, really, isn't there? Yeah? Absolutely, And I think the point of Mark Chambers as well. I nearly put Chambers in the right back because because he's played Emory's got a history of playing like big center arms and a big, big right back to give you a bit more salility. I just thought Young was probably undroppable at the moment based on the bats, and he's playing from a leadership perspective, So if he's going to play him in the team, then I mean, I think, actually think now, I think about Young could be a wild card option for one of those wide striker roles, and he's gone back more in his career. But if you want him in the team, you know, he's delivery's good. You know, if you if you're struggling in strugging for with there is there a worse options if you want to keep him the team. Yeah, Well, it's it's also that point of does Emery go go at it straight away and try and get um and try and get off to a fast start, or does he try and hold United and sort of benil nil or whatever at halftime and then try and go for its second half. It's it's a difficult one, isn't it? And how much is how much of his stamp has been put on the team in the space of what three training sessions? Four? Max? What can do he plays and have five chances of score four and he'll he'll hit the post, he diver one. Um, continue will be credible goals left one center, You'll be brilliant, defensively solid, seven two. It's gonna be Liverpool all over again. And it's going to be fantastic. Mate. We trust Yeah. When I am reason magic, he wears a magic So Timman's gone, Martinez, Luca, Dean, Cash, Chambers, Ming's, Louise, Den Dunka and McGinn in the ten role, Hailey, Ramsey and Watkins Um Deonte has gone for Martiness, Cash, Chambers and Mings and Dean. Then Duncan and Louise, Bailey, Bwenda and Ramsey, wat and Watkins, Um and Tim and preferred would prefer Archer interested to see if he gets any more minutes. Um, I think then Duncan Louise will start because I think they did okay first half against against Newcastle, did did fade in the second half. I can see concert coming out. I think I agree with you there, and I think I think could see maybe Cash coming out as well, So I do. Yeah, I think Young might go to right back Luca Deane or go back. I could see Mings alongside Chambers, I think because he probably knows him a bit better than Duncle Louise. Yeah, when dear, I think we're playing that ten role, and yeah, I think, yeah, I think he might do. I think he might go Ramsey Ramsey Ings Bailey. Yeah, yeah, I've seen the comments. I would also really like to see Archial Gevere of the games, you know, based on the level of strikers and what they've done right now, I think we need a better striker again comments incoming we need a masterve striking actually, as in signing wise, I love the idea too. When of McGinn in the ten role, I love it. And again I know Gasa says he thrives in a ten roll for Scotland. He does against Kazakhstan and Austria and Luxembourg. But um, when you've got Gwenda and Continua in your team, I don't know how you can be playing mcgin ahead of them. In a creative role. I do worries sometimes with the beginners we reached...

...his limit. I don't. It's I think, sure we've taken that room before the minute man united, the Maginn that maybe the captains he's weighing down and maybe taking off and get back to that kind of player. But it just doesn't seem to be anywhere near the races in the last twelve months. And you know that is something that happens to players sometimes. You know, they they have they have a good, good phase and a good spell and you know, you don't always just keep going up and up and up from Scottish you know, youth football to Scottish football to championships. Sam's talked about ceilings and you know, is it is it a case that McGinn at twenties seven, maybe twenty eight, is he hit his seeing And that's that's what we can that's what we can expect now. I don't, I don't know, don't I think the same he's he isn't just turned so you know, yeah, yeah, and asked the question just before we get into a couple of stats and then and then you're then our predictions and your guys predictions and what you think the score is going to be to get them coming in as well? And what do you make of Watkins and Archer and the training vintile front? Now I haven't seen too much of the training video, so I have to admit that. But is that is that is that a kind of indication as to what might happen potentially and on some day or is it a case of just seeing different combinations and that just happened to be the one that the video? Yeah, it might it might just be be a time of video. Gary, I wish it was a Keen and Davis and Archer, but no, sorry, um um no, I'm gonna like the idea of to up top. I don't think Things and Watkins play well as a top top, but you know, actually bit more pace and but Watkins is not known for his filippons? Is he really much? So I don't know. Um yeah, I like the idea of having to op top, but what what do you lose for that? I mean, it does solve a problem in terms if you don't need to try and try and find two way forwards. But yeah, but yeah, it's I'm not I'm not too sure because you could only have the two and then have like a three behind, couldn't you basically, so yeah, yeah, well positive positive signs and you know, you never know, we might we might see we might see something majorly different. Who knows. It's as we said before, it's a clean slate for all players. And one thing you will want to do, as I say that at the start of the show, if he if he does want a way of making himself an instant hero, it's to it's to pull off a resort against Man United because these stats which suggest that we haven't got a great head to head against them. Um fifty four Premier League games, Man United won thirty seven of them and we've won four. Um we've only scored thirty four goals they've scored, so they could hopefully don't get their hundred of tomorrow. Seven clean sheets for US, twenty seven for Man United and the last five have been three defeats and then actually the last season we did manage to take four points off them. So we've gotta win at ourl Trafford and a draw at Villa par I have to coming back from two nails down. Um, so yeah, it doesn't make for great reading, keV Um, but maybe some salacet to take from the last two results against them. Yeah, I mean it's been positive recently and that's I think that's more of a sight about a bad day've been rather than a good we've been. Although we were good value form for that win at All Traffic, we had a lot more chances. Um, So you know, I think that that's a that's a reasonable show. And I think we played in the f A Cup think when we absolutely blatter them. I thought that was one of our best performances performances in the season the f A Cup. So um, and then we did really read it. I've got a great dame in bark at me again and believe this you and you and your creeky doors and might meet me. Yeah yeah, yeah, but you do know it's live. You do know it's live. Yeah. Yeah. If you need to let him out, keV, I'll did my through through the keyhole again. But yeah, I think I think, yeah, it's just it's just a great it's a it's a great opportunity for um, for Emery to you know, get up to a great start and who knows, who knows, you know, As I said that my tweet yesterday was not aimed at Amory, and I am optimistic. I really am optimistic, and let's let's hope for let's hope for a positive result tomorrow. So, um, first of all, I just want to say thanks everyone from for tuning in before we get everyone's predictions, before we get your prediction, keV, as I say always, please do leave a like on the video. Please do subscribe to the channel if you are new. We are well on the way to six hundred. I've just checked there and we've gone up another three or four subscribers just tonight. We're to five seven five now, keV, haven't Yeah phenomenal because we haven't been that regular with the pods of this last week. It's it's great that we've you know, still got so many people watching and and supporting us. So yeah, continue spreading the word. The likes really help. We're getting upwards of seventy eight to a hundred likes now on our videos and that really just help us spread the word. So please everyone, if you are watching, drop...

...us alike, and if you haven't subscribed yet, um, I believe six of our viewers haven't subscribed, so you know, um, that's almost two thirds of our viewers that haven't subscribed, so please do. It's free and you'll let you'll know when our videos are coming out. So yeah, fantastic support from everyone, so thank you all. And we're getting loads of scores coming in. Um Gaza is saying three one Man United. Gary thinks I'm a cracking atmosphere tomorrow. Let's hope so um t and all. I know that will not score a lot of goals, so we can do something. Fingers cross get let us know your score to you and a J saying too nil to Man United, as is Rachel as well. Gary has been a bit more positive, saying one one draw um uh. The t one is saying a grinding one nil victory for us. Dan if you do is saying the three one villa win. Doug you with a hat check from corners. I wouldn't know. I want to know what I do you would get for that, And Barry is saying, um manu manure, don't know what to expect, backing us to finally break the who do and a to one victory, and Martin is saying a too to draw and Mark is saying to to drawer as well. So Marks, thanks very much for the stats and all the fumbnails as well that you do for US mates appreciated. M keV Can I trouble you for a score and scorers please? It's gonna be sixteen three to aston Villa. It's going to be the most amazing, amazing signs charged up the league gold different sorted. Now, I'm going to say that, you know, life's about taking up, taking opportunities and taking moments, and you know, I don't think it. I don't think it'd be lost on UNI. With his meticulous planning. I read something like when they played the Man United and there was Europa League watched, like the previous sixteen games or seventeen games or something, so like, I just think he's going to leave no stone unturned. I'm sure you'll have a plan for us, and I think it's going to be well. If it's not the first prediction, I think it's gonna be two one. But I think unfortunately Man United will get the hunt hundred goal against US. But I fanciest to Um to get a win. I do I feel it. Who's going to score? Um, It's gonna be Um. Samson's gonna come off the bench in score and a chamber his head from a corner's gonna come avnuch as well. Two players I didn't pick in my lineup. There you go, yeah, there you go. Yeah, I don't. They don't think with it right now is you don't even know there there's no predictions about exactly exactly. Yeah, it's going to be interesting. The team that he puts out really interesting. Um will he says, new managing, new Beginnings, new start, tune out up the villa. Um Gary says, what does the great day? You think? One of the socks off my feet climbed over on top of me. We need we in midfield presence like it's basically yeah, you do. You need something all over you like a rash. I'm gonna say, um, I'm going to say to one as well, I'm gonna say we are going to win. To one. I think it's going to be really tense at the end, but we are gonna we are going to get the victory, which will be much much needed because I do believe if we don't get a positive result, we could well be in the buttom three, after the end of the games tomorrow. But yeah, I'm gonna say to one victory, I'm gonna say Danny Ings is going to score, and Leon Bailey will score because he's a bit of a home map and I think he will perform in front of the crowd. So yeah, positive, positive vibes um and a new ear out under nay Emery. Let's make sure that we got off to a great start. Let's back him as Villa fans as well. Like I said before my sort of tweet, don't take it as as negative and on on youw Night. It's more about us as supporters. We have to give this manager time. We signed a four and a half year deal. We go through tough times, we go through bad runs. We can't be constantly changing managers getting on the managers back, even if even if we're not seeing that progress or players are playing badly or whatever. It takes time to shift players out and bring players in and we have to give the manager that time, because yeah, we don't. We just can't keep changing managers. And I do agree that this is probably the best manager that we've had in terms of pedigree and in terms of medals that you can put on the table. So we ain't going to get we ain't going to get a better opportunity. Yeah, But also mate, like we do. We do need the points. If you look at the league now, we look at obviously had bad this season has been, you know, and you know, leads a leader ahead of us in the league. You know after apparently they're terrible, you know, and less they're of lesser bottom of the league. You know that right in the bottom there two points ahead of us and Everton who are just crap ahead of us, bomb with ahead of us. You know we are...

...we're basically a situation where we're we're joint joint third bottom. We've got the fourth worst goal difference. We're just so joint fourth worst goal difference. Um, and we obviously we're gonna give emry of time. But if you're trying to attract players in January, you'd rather be you know, ten to eleven twelve in the league. My dog's luck in the laptop. You'd rather be ten to eleven twelve in the league than than seventeen eighteen because you're going to struggle to attract people. Almos still amazing did what they did? Yeah, well that's the thing and hopefully hopefully good result tomorrow, good result against bright And next week and it's it's looking up as well, you know, apart from looking down. So you know, yeah, let's let's get a positive result tomorrow, mate, and let's let's hopefully hopefully we can we can be you know, looking really positive on into the into the this this new the season after the World Cup. But it's been a pleasure. I know. We've had a few little disruptions, dog creaking doors. What we've got through it mate. As as the as the gift says there, please do subscribe to the channel, Please give a like to the video. As I said, we're well on the road to six subscribers. Rachel won a prize at five. We'll be back with a new prize, um a new prize at a thousand. So yeah, get subscribing, get sharing the channel out there, and hopefully we'll get a massive result tomorrow. And yeah, the only thing to remember from everyone is thanks everyone. Cheers. M m m m m m.
